Vepsians to Riddu Riđđu
20 Vepsians will take part in the Riddu Riđđu festival, as the Veps people is this years Northern People. Poets, musicians and artisans will share their traditions and culture with the audience through courses and performances.
The Veps people is the Northern People of the Year at the Riddu Riđđu festival, taking place in Gáivuotna, Norway, from July 21 to July 25 2010.
Two music bands will perform during the festival, Noid and Jousnen Jarved, the audience will have the chance to meet the Vepsian poet Nikolay Abramov, anbd Saturday will be the main day of the Northern People.
