WGIP meeting in Kirkenes
The Barents indigenous Peoples' Congress 2012, the Conference on Indigenous Peoples, Business and Environment 2012 and the moving of the Barents Indigenous Peoples' Office (BIPO) to Murmansk are the main topics for discussion when the Nenets, the Saami and the Veps meet in Kirkenes on 8 November.
The 2nd Barents Indigenous Peoples' Congress 2012 will be held in Kirkenes on 10 February 2012 and will follow up on the resolution from 20120 regarding indigenous peoples' participation in the Barents cooperation.

On 9 February 2010, indigenous peoples' representatives, experts and other guests will discuss challenges regarding industrial development in indigenous peoples' ares at the conference Indigenous Peoples, Business and Environment 2012.
Since 2007, the Barents Indigenous Peoples' Office (BIPO) has been situated i Lujavv'r/Lovozero. The WGIP is currently considering a co-localization of the information centre with other relevant Barents offices in Murmansk city, such as the Norwegian Barents Secretariat, the Barents Youth Cooperation Office and the local branch of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
The meeting will be held in the premises of the Norwegian Barents Secretariat in Kirkenes.
